SAVE the DATE on MINTED.com

Anytime I find out that one of my designs is for sale on Minted.com it feels like Christmas! I get all giddy and giggly and twitchy and silly. Minted as just launched some new save the date designs and I'm so excited that one of my designs was included. YIPPEE!!!!

It's called CALENDAR PAGE.

It's a really simple and clean design.

You can just order the card or you can get ALL KINDS OF FANCY with

envelope liners and address labels and timelines.

It's just so fun to see it live. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Hope it makes some bride happy out there!!!!!!!

New Birth Announcement

Recently, I was lucky lucky lucky to help out some friends with their birth announcement.
Sweet William arrived early but couldn't be more perfect!

Congratulations J, P and B on your new little brother! He's sooooo sweet!

Color Palette

I had to look that word up - PALETTE - as I trip over the spelling/versions All. The. Time.

Help me choose some COLORS! I am very excited to share a little art work that will soon be available on Minted.com. Minted recently had their first ever "Untitled: Art Print Challenge" and over 1400 pieces of amazing artwork were entered. All they asked was to create something that you would want on your wall. And so I did!

Hooray! My "special day pattern" was chosen.

I really need to be better at coming up with better names for my work.

Now I need to come up with some alternative color ways. Can you help me choose?

Let me know what your favorite 2 color ways are.

Pretty please.

The above are inspired by J.Crew. I have an obsession with their colors lately. I wish I had

won that giant lottery so that I could have spruced up my spring wardrobe.

These 2 are paintings that I like A.LOT. A.LOT. A.LOT.

And then the original.

Thank you for helping me pick!

New Card No. 2

HO HO HO

When I set out to number posts about stuff I want to share I probably should be more realistic about actually getting back to post more. ;) Only on new card No. 2 and I actually have about 20. At this rate it will be June before I show you them all.

This sweet family from Florida ordered up their first family holiday cards.

Aren't these photos just GREAT!?

I also just sent these invitations out to help celebrate my new little niece or nephew that is arriving March 1st. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just won't talk about the address situation. HAR HAR HAR.

(my friend Ruthie & I are simply cursed when it comes to working together. it's comical)

Off to do last minute shopping & deliveries!

NEW CARD no.1

I can finally share with you some of the custom designs from the season!

(Front)

(Back)

This card just melts my heart. Have you ever seen such Christmas cuties? I like both sides so much I feel like either side could be the front or back.

My shopping is almost done. I just ordered up these shirts for the boys to wear on Christmas. Honey Bee T's are designed from a gal who went to AUBURN! (WAR EAGLE!) And she's got a great little blog that I like to stalk.  (www.flythroughourwindow.com) If you know the Munn family - these prints are made for us. I told Jeff they come in adult sizes if he feels left out. ;)

Adding to the Christmas book box. We got this guy and have already read it 10 times.

The Grinch is a big hit this year. As well as the Elf.

More cards to come! (I know you are on the edge of your seat...)

HO HO HOOOOllly cow we got this sucker in the mail! YAY!

I think my favorite photos are the 2 on the back. If you only knew the daily chaos that is in the Munn house. Well...actually now you do b/c these pictures display it.

THEY. NEVER. STOP. MOVING. EVER. ;)

Laura Koupal took these photos and she is amazing.

OKAY! It's almost time to be able to show the custom holiday card designs I did this year. A few have arrived so I think it's safe. Check back soon!

Minted Love

I feel like it's Christmas already!!!

Minted.com has launched their new gift tags & children's stationery. FUN FUN FUN because I was lucky enough to get a gift tag selected as well as 2 children's stationery designs. And to make matters even MORE exciting ...

I got a runner up in the WHIMSY catagory. ;)

I am just a happy camper about that!

Seriously - all the gift tag designs are just amazing - specially the real intricate designs. I wish I had the patience to design like that. Like my Jeff says - I'm great at starting a project (around the house) but not finishing it. NO PATIENCE.

Here is a peek and link to the stationery.

Some crazy wonderful person has already up and ordered a set of the Mason Carey design. I just can't tell you how that just warms the old heart. *HEART* *HEART* *HEART*

I'm very grateful for Minted.com for all it does to promote their designers. I am MOST grateful for the way that they handle their design contests. It fires up the creative sprit!!! Keeps the design-buzz going.

And there are tons of cool designers that help each other out, to boot!

I know I sound like a Minted.com commercial. But I think it's a great company.

Pink Hippo Prints is still cranking & cranking on our own designs. ;)

Even had my first official design purchased on pinkhippoprints.etsy.com! Thank you Mrs. Willman from Florida!!!! ;) Just WAIT til you see her card. It's ADORABLE!

NEXT POST!

Work-in-progress

Etsy.

I'm gonna try it out.

Stay tuned for more information. Or email me. Currently taking custom holiday orders now.

Until then ... how 'bout how time has flown???

He looks SO EXCITED!

Holiday 2011 SNEAK PEEK!

It's ridiculous.
I KNOW.

But I have Holiday Cards for 2011 almost ready. Honestly - I think I am technically actually very behind. People usually have this stuff ready in the summer. I'm on it this year. So, for me, this is great!

Two things.

1-I'm offering up some fancy schmancy printed cards. Using a new printer this year. Exciting stuff. Thus the new 2011 designs. (** old designs still available of course!)

2-I'm working with a photographer this year and she is also offering Pink Hippo Prints designs. SARAH GODBY PHOTOGRAPHY! (sarahgodbyphotography.com) This woman is super talented and I feel lucky to be teaming up with her. You need to book her for those fantastic holiday shots. I know I do!

Sooo... tiny sneak peek.
Just a smidge so that you can still go & enjoy September w/o worrying about the Holidays quite yet.

GO VOTE! (pretty please)

That MINTED.com is just cranking out the competitions. I love them b/c it gets me to design. I do so much better w/ timelines. If it was left up to me....I'd probably be procrastinating. Or in a thrift store, at an estate sale or drinking wine on the porch.

Right now you can go and vote for your favorites and Minted will sell the winners. It's very exciting.

Mucho appreciated-o! Olé!

Minted - 2011 - Holiday Challenge

Minted's latest holiday contest is about to close. There are a record number of submissions this year. Last I checked it was over 2000. YIKES! And they are all amazing designs.

The judges this year include one of my design - idols. Jenna Lyons, the creative director of J.CREW. I dig her style.

And I would like to move into her home.

And her "closet" room.

Jenna is going to feature her pick in her November Jenna's picks. I will be sooo happy (and so jealous) of that designer. That might be a better grand prize than Minted's grand prize in my opinion.

Below are the designs I submitted. The fun part about this is that this year the designs that are not selected I will be featuring RIGHT HERE on PHP. Details to come. Along w/ more designs.

Minted may or may not do a 1st round cut. Most people (including myself) think it's helpful to narrow down the entries. Keep you posted.
