We had lots to be thankful for and had a grand old time getting together to celebrate. We had a little soup/chili open house with some neighbors & good friends on Wednesday.

But you must be careful.
This is what happens when you let your 2 yr old stay up past 9.

THIS is what I call an AMAZING plate. VERY thankful for the smoked turkeys, the amazing duck, and the yummy sides my mom always makes. (see photo below of Ben and his reaction to the sweet potatoes)

Grammy Lu Lu flew in from CA. Charlie helped make the name plates (hand-turkeys) and he also helped remind us why we are all thankful. When we asked Charlie what he was thankful for, he paused to think and then said "I'm thankful that everyone is here together!" (*mama fainted - then walked over and gave him a giant SMOOCHA)

Apparently Ben is thankful for marshmallows. This is what he did when he realized how much he likes sweetpotatoes w/ melted marshmallows on top. (geezus he is silly!)

Charlie got ahold of the iPhone and took a few snaps. I liked this one because you can see "future cousin" in the striped belly. Next to the belly is Aunnnnnt Amy. (I am AAAAAnt Abby) and we are in the running for favorite AUNTIE to the new cousin. (aka - shim figgy)

Sooooo... after a wonderful day of giving thanks what does one do w/ a family that has been @ home together 3 days in a row???

Sweet Ben never moved from his seat - was mesmerized on the light rail to downtown.
Our goal was to see model trains @ Union Station but it was closed.
So we went to lunch @ Wynkoop Brewery. Yummers. I have never seen a 2 year old eat so much mac n cheese & fruit in my life. PACKED it away. (I think you can see it in his cheeks)

While by the looks of this photo it seems that I may have had a rough few days at home but I promise I didn't ship Charlie off. He's still around.

One last thing.
What I am VERY thankful for...

my new favorite red.

I think I had 2 weeks where we did nothing. I've made up for that by packing in something every single day. I didn't intentionally do this. It just happens. MON - was my annual yoga-dinner night. SO YUM. CafeBar on Alameda.

Tuesday - you saw the pics. Yo Gabba Gabba!

Wednesday - SWIMMING. Charlie was so exhausted he fell asleep before dinner.

Thursday - I can't remember. See what's happening to me?

Friday - DINNER @ The Kitchen w/ the Lowells.
I would have taken pictures w/ my new iPhone but my bro-in-law woulda kicked me outta the restaurant. ;) But The Kitchen is photo worthy. DEEELISH.

Saturday - AM - Family Photos. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE RESULTS!
Saturday PM - BREW TOUR ORPHANS came to our house for dinner.
(photo to go here once I download)

Sunday - AM - Race for Fetal Hope 5K run in Wash Park.
But you are just going to have to take my word for it b/c they didn't have me signed up and no one took a picture of me. I swear I ran it and ran like I was chasing my last glass of wine. Ever.

Minted had a fun Art Challenge right now. I've been playing around with some personalized print ideas. I am crossing my fingers that I can get all my ideas in my head into their contest.

I just adore simplicity. I think these would look
so cute on Ben's wall in his room.

Obvi-I'd have to do a Blue/Red or Blue/Green version for a boy.

This design is from some stationery that I did awhile back - but have always loved.
The contest said to make something that you like - not what a customer would like. So I did.

I've also been busy busy w/ some new stationery.
That post is coming next. ;)

Someone in New Rochelle, NY, UTAH, Hawthorne, CA & other parts of the U.S.of A. have purchased my holiday design on Minted alerts us w/ a little email when a purchase happens. I just GIGGLE AND GIGGLE with excitement and run and tell Jeff that someone has purchased Merry Bright Season and I just CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!

Yo Gabba Gabba!

There was a party in our city last night. Yo Gabba Gabba came to Denver. And it was a dance-fest!

Please don't laugh at my movie-taking-ability. Still working on mastering the iPhone!

This is also the first time I've uploaded a video to the blog. Fingers crossed.

**Note - this Batman shirt arrived at our house from Linnie and it was immediately put on.
HUGE compliment if you ask me. (and know how picky C can be!)

Singing along to EVERY word.

Glued to the stage.

Guess it got loud at one point.

Dancing in the aisle is required.

Going to Yo Gabba Gabba is AWESOME!!!!
